Book Printing

The text printing on the offset paper(woodfree paper) is clear and non-reflective, which gives a good reading effect. It is an ideal paper for book printing. The most common thicknesses of offset paper are 60gsm, 70gsm, 80gsm, 100gsm and 120gsm.
We recommend saddle stitch binding for the spine less than 3mm, the spine exceeds 3mm will use perfect binding. We also offer wire binding, comb binding strips stapled, ring binding, hardcover book binding. We can calculate the spine size based on the thickness of the paper and the number of pages.
Size: A4 (210×297mm), A5 (148×210mm), B5 (176×250mm) or customized.

Book Printing Process

Step 1: Typesetting Design Completes File Production

Printing documents is a precondition for any printed matter production, and only after confirming the content of the document can it be printed and produced on the machine. This step of document design and typesetting is very important. From a small text to a large-scale typesetting, it needs to be confirmed step by step, and it is also a thing that needs to be done very carefully.

Step 2: Proofing Confirmation, Arranging Production

Proofing is an important step before printing, because only by making samples can you know whether there is a problem with the quality of the bulk product. Therefore, after the document is confirmed, the proofing is arranged first, and the production can be arranged after the proofing is checked and there is no problem. It should be noted that digital proofing is generally used, which is different from the printed product (mainly color difference), so don't think that the difference between the proofing and the printed product is the quality problem of the printing factory!

Step 3: Prepress Plate Making

Typesetting before printing, then print hard blueline, proofreading, and finally CTP plate making. This step is also a more complicated one in the printing process, so the plate making fee is usually more expensive. Paper purchasing can be arranged at this stage.

Step 4: Printing and Binding

Printing is relatively common, and different machines have different printing effects. I won't say much here, but focus on binding.

Saddle stitching: Folding → binding (cut product) → QC → packing.

Adhesive binding: Folding → assembling → glue binding machine binding → cutting products → QC → packing.

All along sewing: Folding → assembling → sewing → glue binding machine binding → cutting products → QC → packing.

Hardcover binding: Folding → assembling → sewing → glue binding machine binding → cutting products → bookblock processing, gray board lamination processing → QC → packing.

The above is the complete process of printing and producing books.
